Course VPN

The Course VPN feature (CVPN) is a feature that allows desktops to directly access each other.

This feature takes the place of "Turn off network isolation". When Network Isolation was turned off, desktops could communicate with any other desktop on a single server, but it did not enable communication between servers and data centres.

Course VPN allows communication between any desktop added to the specific course, regardless of the server and data centre.

This feature is only available for Ubuntu and Windows 10 operating systems. For other operating systems, you can still use "Turn off network isolation".

Below are some terminal screenshots showing the CVPN interface as seen from the terminal, along with some additional properties of the connected interface.

Below are screenshots of the VPN network interface that is created when training workstations are set up. Here we see two student workstation terminals displaying the `edge0` network interface, which is the course VPN.
