Using the Desktop as a Chrome Application

A common problem when using a desktop in a browser tab is that some shortcut keys (for example, Ctrl+W, Ctrl+F4) get intercepted by the browser itself.

A simple solution is to create an application using Chrome (and Chromium) browsers.

 

1. More Tools -> Create shortcut on your computer desktop

2. Select "Open as window" when creating shortcut

 

3. Run your application by double-clicking the shortcut on your desktop

4. Use your application and enjoy having your keyboard shortcuts work properly.
